In addition to practicing the fine art of rehabilitation, Transitional Care of Arlington Heights also appreciates fine art and, as such, displays work by area artists in its Community Art Gallery.
The opening community art exhibit will feature the photography of Arlington Heights resident, Christine Naunheimer, a physical therapist who has cared for patients at Northwest Community Hospital for the last 15 years. Christine is also the mother of three school-aged children and helps lead a volunteer-led art club for over 110 students at Westgate School.
Christine has always enjoyed nature’s beauty—as a child she would spend hours outdoors noticing details of flowers and leaves. Christine began photographing natural landscapes and flowers about four years ago. She photographs all year round at several area botanical gardens and while traveling in destinations such as California, Wyoming, Arizona, Oregon and Seattle. She enjoys photographing in natural light and quiet surroundings.
Her work will be on display from opening throughout the month of September between the hours of 9-5. For more information or to purchase a print, please visit her site at www.etsy.com/shop/BellaFloraImages.
