In addition to practicing the fine art of rehabilitation, Transitional Care of Arlington Heights also appreciates fine art itself, and, as such, displays work by area artists in its Community Art Gallery.
The Gallery currently features the work of Arlington Heights resident Rita Molepske.
Rita says, “I am a lifetime creator of art. Though my medium is usually watercolor, I enjoy experimenting with acrylic, paper, oil pastel, clay and printmaking–all the media I used to introduce art to my former grade school students for over 30 years and currently with my students at the Arlington Heights Senior Center.”
Rita’s canvas can be her home or her garden, as well as traditional art materials. “I continue to learn new techniques and ideas by taking workshops and classes. As a member of the Illinois Watercolor Society, I received my signature membership after winning the People’s Choice Award in the 2016 National Show.” Her art was recently featured on the Arlington Heights street banners in the spring of 2017.
Rita’s work is available for purchase by contacting her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
