Transitional Care of Arlington Heights was named one of the top short-term rehabilitative care centers in the state of Illinois as reported by U.S. News & World Report.
U.S. News & World Report evaluated more than 15,000 skilled nursing centers across the country to come up with the list of care centers designated as the best.
U.S. News used data from Nursing Home Compare, a program run by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to compile their list. The centers were rated “poor” to “top-performing” on a scale of 1 to 5.
In Illinois, 73 skilled nursing centers made the list. U.S. News says performance was evaluated over time, averaging monthly data over a year and much emphasis was placed on strong performance in medical quality measures.
To receive a high U.S. News rating, centers had to provide significantly more than the required minimum of rehabilitation therapy. “Top performing” centers had overall ratings of 4.5 or greater and represent about 15 percent of all skilled nursing centers, according to the publication.
“We’re pleased to earn national recognition for providing comprehensive rehabilitative care that helps bridge the distance between the hospital and home for our guests.”
